Guo Jie's Poly Central Residence: A Masterpiece of Modern Design

Abstracting Natural Elements to Create a Space Full of Visual Arts

The design's unique properties lie in the integration of architectural blocks into the space, a signature design language of Guo Jie. The designer has interlaced concrete blocks to mimic coastal rocks, interpreting the traces of time and tide for a pure and visually striking effect.

The realization of this design is seen in the customized walls, ceiling, reception counter, water bar, showcase, and scaled model. These elements are carefully arranged to create a modern, elegant, and creative space. Building blocks are interlaced to form multiple levels and a natural spatial order. Decorations follow the interior design's style, with pure ceramics, textural stones, rigid metal, and soft leather contrasting each other. Embedded lights enhance the quiet atmosphere.

The project, which covers an area of 900 square meters, was completed in December 2018. It is located in Yangjiang, a city full of natural atmosphere lying between mountains and sea. The design of the project is inspired by the city's natural beauty and the opportunities for development in the south, where the high-speed rail business district is located.

The design faced the challenge of maintaining a simple and elegant style while creating an artistic sales center that provides a colorful living experience. The result is a poetic space where visitors can pause to think and feel a sense of freedom. The interior design, with its interlaced concrete blocks and color palette of gray, white, and green, presents a pure visual effect that enriches the monotonous visual impression.

The Poly Central Residence design was awarded Silver in the A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2020. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
